Change Mobile Operator without Changing Number

1. To switch your mobile operator while still keeping your old mobile number, you just need to SMS PORT to 1900.
2. An 8 digit unique porting code will be sent to you by your existing mobile operator.
3. Now, you need to file a new connection application with your mobile details and the the unique porting code to the new mobile operator you want to switch your mobile number to.
4. You will be charged Rs 19 for the porting code and your mobile number will be switched to the new mobile operator within 7 working days. Your existing balance and other offers won’t be valid on the new carrier.


What is Portability?
Mobile phone users will be united to choose any network provider they think is best for them. Now if you’re totally frustrated with your operator you’re allowed to change your operator in a way that you’re number will remain with you but operator gets change.

What to Do?

Users only have to send one SMS through their mobile phone to 1900. For that you need to type PORT your mobile number, for instance, type PORT 9893605456 and send it to 1900. You’ll get porting code after it. Later, you need to fill porting form to send. Users will get all details like porting date and time in their mobile only and charge Rs. 19 only.

For Prepaid Users
For prepaid users, talk time balance will not be return back to you, if you change your operator and also your new operator will not adjust your remaining balance you left in your last operator. So, use your balance till it gets zero before changing your operator.

For Postpaid Users
For postpaid users, they need to submit their last bill with porting form they submit to change operator. But condition is the number you’re changing its operator should not have any court case.

90 Days Time Period you’ll get
To change from one operator to other, 90 days time period you’ll get means once you changed your operator you’ll not be able to switch to any other operator till 90 days.
