Movie Review:: COCKTAIL:: 2.5/5:: Sizzling Deepika

The day has finally arrived, when you can taste the much-awaited, sexy, tempting Cocktail. 


What's Good: The Girls !!!!
Veronica aka 'Deepika' and Meera aka 'Diana Penty' looked gorgeous through out the movie.

Deepika played the sexy, slutty, loose character hottie...
Without doubt, Deepika, not only looked like a dream, but also pitches in her career-best performance. She lets herself loose, surrenders to her character wholly and nails the performance.

While Diana played marriageable sweet, desi girl. It was a dream debut for her. 

Music is just 'WOW', its loud, foot tapping and peppy  and suits the look of Cocktail.

Performances: All are good !!!

Saif tried too hard to maintain his boyish charm, but the 40+ actor looked tired and bit too old for the character of a young Software Engineer and for the beautiful girls. My favorite scene was when Saif, in a bizarre female's attire, hopped and danced on the item number 'Sheila Ki Jawaani', until his mom (Dimple Kapadia) discovers him in such a frenzy and lunatic state.

Deepika slipped into the skin of gorgeous, wayward vamp Veronica...

One word that suits her character is CRAZY, a girl who is good just for one night stands.

She can pee in a moving car, can get cozy with every second guy, virginity is taboo for her, and most important  roaming around without wearing pants all the  time... She is the SHAMELESS SLUT..

In one word, Deepika is the show stealer.

Boman Irani & Dimple Kapadia were awesome in  their short roles and added perfect punches.

Whats Bad???? 
The movie picks pace after 20 odd minutes and loses it very soon after interval.
The second half is over-stretched and the screenplay could have been tighter. 
Saif's constant flirtatious habit is quite irritating and becomes overdose.


My Verdict: Watch it for the 'Rich Bitch - Wild Child' act of Deepika, charismatic performances of the 3some, harmonious music and the trendy look and styling of the movie.

Movie Review:: BOL BACHCHAN :: 4.5/5 Awesome Performances

Whats Good???
- Abhishek Bachchan... 
Abhishek Bachchan performs equally good in both roles of his double role. His portrayal of the gay dancer is adorable.
- The rib tickling dialogues of Ajay, where he tries to translate everything in English
- Archana Puran Singh's Mind blowing fake mommy act. She elicits laughter from the audience, everytime she appears on screen. Archana Puran Singh has a very well written part and is aptly amusing.

- Rohit Shetty’s direction is tight as he holds the comedy through out, very well. There are solid punch one after the other. His best directorial venture after Golmaal 1. Good part is he doesn't complicate the comedy or make the narrative ambiguous.

- No pot-shots, no raunchy double meaning jokes, only pure comedy...

- Best thing about ‘Bol Bachchan’ is that there is nothing in it that is not predictable. But it still entertains you till the end.

- You can watch it with family , friends or special friends....

- Must watch for Archana Puran Singh’s act of Zohra & Abhishek Bachchan's awesome performance after a long time ...

Whats Bad???

How to get Tatkal Tickets Confirmed !!!

Getting confirmed tatkal ticket from IRCTC site is like winning a gold medal. I have tried to get tatkal ticket hundreds of times but most of the time I was unable to get the tatkal ticket. And yes, I was always unfortunate at times when it was real emergency.

Reasons you don’t get a confirmed tatkal ticket-

1. You can use the tatkal booking only when its 8.00 am at the IRCTC but even if your computer time has 1 minute difference with that of IRCTC, it will be a big problem as most of the tatkal tickets are booked in the first 5 minutes only and if this is peak season all the tickets booked in minutes.
2. After 8 am you start filling the details like station name, booking date, selecting your train, then filling passenger form details etc and when you want to book it says no more confirmed ticket.
3. If you try to fill all the details before 8 am and wait and after 8 am you try to go to the next window then it says “session expired” and you need to login again.
4. And one of the main reason is many fields in IRCTC does not work (like filling typing station name and it does not popup the code) and it loads very slowly or page does not open etc.

Its really frustrating because there is no other option left if you miss this tatkal ticket. Flights tickets are really not affordable now a days.

Tips to get a confirmed tatkal ticket

Get Multiple IRCTC account

For this, you need to have at least 3 IRCTC accounts. Either you can create this or get the account of your friend and relative. You need to have different internet browser in your PC to open different account in different browser. You can install Internet Explorer (IE), Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome.

You have to login to all different IRCTC account from different browsers. You can not login to different account in the same browser. So open one account in IE, one in Firefox & other in Chrome.

This is because if there is problem in one browser, you can immediately use another logged in account. This is confirmed that if you have problem in the booking process in one browser, it will work in other browser as per my experience.

Get Autofill On

Most of your time in the booking process goes in filling the passenger details form and saving here even 5 seconds can make a difference and where this Magic Autofill play the role. This is one of the best auto filling form developed by Amit Agarwal.

It’s a simple online tool that will fill the passenger details form on the IRCTC website with the click of a button thus giving you an upper hand.

So, Change your Browser setting and keep Autofill option enabled.

Get your details ready

This is very important as sometime you just forget the train details or sometime you get confuse which payment methods to choose when there is no time to think all these things. So just open a notepad, write all the details in advance like source train & destination train, credit card details or bank details with password. You have already filled the passenger details in the magic autofill and bookmarked the button.

Write every details in that notepad that you are going to fill in the booking process so that you just copy and paste that detail. It can save your at least 1 minute and here every second counts in tatkal ticket booking.

This way you can really increase your chances of booking a tatkal ticket. I have many times used this tip and more than 95% time I was successful in booking a tatkal ticket.

North Goa or South Goa???
1. North Goa is the happening one as compared to south Goa. North Goa's beaches like Baga, Calangute, Vagator, Anjuna all are youthful and happening.
2. You want to get the feel of the trance and hippie scene, you got to Bagah, Anjuna, Chapora, Mandrim beaches at North, & if you want to get shanti and relaxation  you should go to Arambol, Benaulim or Palolem at South Goa...
3. Beaches are much more crowded at North
4. North Goa has Discos, Restaurants and bars like Titos, Fiesta, Shalom and Club Cavana etc which are full of fun & masti, very happening.
5. Food in North Goa is awesome, specially Brittos in Bagah and Luke's in Mandrim.
6. South Goa has a number of 5 star hotels and beaautiful hotels, like Club Mahindra's, Taj Exotica, Cidede-de-Goa, Majorda, Hathi Mahal, Leela(7 star), Holiday Inn...
7. Beaches in South Goa is quiet and peaceful, not much happening, but more clean and tidy.
8. South Goa is better for those who are married or for senior citizens and want to relax in a good hotel by the beach...Its more of relaxing than enjoying.
9. South Goa is not so crowded compared north Goa. The beaches are good. Varca beach is really clean and beautiful. Palolem is the most beautiful beach there and very less crowded. The least commercialized, it is surrounded by hills on both sides, resulting in a calm, idyllic sea in which you can walk into upto 100 metres. Its quite small, so easy to explore on foot.

Movie Review:: Vicky Donar :: 3/5 Good Story !!!

Acting:
Ayushman Khurana as Vicky and Annu Kapoor as Dr. Chaddha, did fabulous job. 
Yami Gautam looks beautiful through out, her acting skill needs little polishing.


What's Good:
Script is fine, Delhi used very nicely, the location adds a real life feel to the film. Well directed. All actors acted well. Punjabi-Bengali conflict and wedding, drinking granny, sequences are funny and quirky.


 Each time Anu Kapoor says 'sperm' with a hand-gesture it makes you laugh out loud, right till the end. His comic timing is awesome. He makes the word 'sperm' sound very common. He even has a plastic sperm as a car ornament.


The comedy is hilarious but the romance and drama in movie are equally engaging.
The potrail of loud Punjabi family and modern Bengali family is little over the top. But  Bengali-Punjabi parental clash is laugh-out-loud funny.

What's Bad: Second half could have been little more tight. The climax is quite boring.

Verdict: You must watch it once...
Yami looks yummy and much better than her fairness cream commercials :)

Movie Review:: Hate Story:: A gorgeous blend of Erotica and Triller (4/5)

Rating: (4/5) Four stars

Star cast:                  

Paoli Dam (The complete drama revolves around her, where she plays a journalist who becomes a prostitute to seek revenge from an industrialist who has wronged her, in a very cruel way. She looks sexy, confident and apt for the role, little immature in some scenes, overall tremendous job from the debutant. She do have Bengali accent which suits her husky voice).

Gulshan Devaiah (Plays the mean Industrialist, who never likes to get f*cked up. When Paoli messes with him, he destroys her life. One of the best actors of GenNext, One can't take his eyes off him, beautiful transitions & body language.), 

Nikhil Dwivedi (Plays the good guy, who loves Paoli and can do anything for her. He too acts well. )

What’s Good: The explicit scenes. The erotic scenes are very nicely shot and very much suits the movie. The drama in the second half, there are many high points in the drama, the trill never ends. Gulshan Devaiah’s performance.
Paoli's look and attitude, she entered into the skin of her character.

Thankfully the film doesn't merely bank upon the sex-quotient. Rather some contrived corporate war and dirty politics dominates the second half..

Its Pacy, sleek, unpredictable and interesting ...

What’s Bad: As lust takes over love, the aesthetic intimacy is taken over by kinky and sleazy sessions.

Too much of sex & adult content makes it a big no for family audience. Keep your kids miles aways !!!
Some raunchy dialogues are not in very good taste, like when Paoli says "Main is shehaar ki sabse badi r*nd banna chahti hoon..". 

Verdict: Hate Story is a must watch for young brigade.

Watch or Not?: Watch it if you want to see a revenge drama and classy erotica.

One would definitely love the way Paoli says 'Thanks'... Its sexy and desi....

Housefull2:: Movie Review:: Shamefully nonsense, but madly funny (3/5) !!!

Housefull 2 is a phool paisa vasool movie.
It is the story of four fathers, four daughters, four prospective son-in-laws and Who's gonna marry whom ??? Means loads of Confusion...


Though Sajid Khan's style of humor will definitely impress a major chunk of the comedy lovers, many others will blame it to be a lose-script. So keep your expectations low and enjoy this brainless laughter-ride. 


Akki, Ritesh, Rishi Kapoor, Johny lever, Mithun Acted really well....
Akshay Kumar is in his element. He brings out laugh & more laugh.
Jacqueline looks great...
John is less plastic and his efforts are visible. Some of his Gags do work.
Chunky Pandey does well & Johny Lever steals the show with his histrionics.
others can be ignored...
Shreyas, Asin & Randhir Kapoor are wasted ...
Malaika looks good in Anarkali Item number, she too have a meaty role.


All Comedy scenes are shot very well. Well directed though no script to support it. Good Music but bad & non-catchy lyrics.


Action scenes were not required, & fails to impress...
Movie is 170 min long, It could have been a little shorter..


Overall, Housefull 2 has surpassed its prequel and it is a must go film but only if you leave your brains at home and are prepared to laugh throughout. 
I will give it 3 stars out of 5. ***

Story Of MAHA SHIV RATRI ...

Watched 'MAHADEV' @LifeOK .. beautiful mythological show... came to know the story behind Maha Shiv Ratri... It was the day when Lord Shiva saved Chandra (Moon) from the curse of Prajapati Daksha & scripted the disappearing & reappearing act of Moon... 

Daksha the Son of Brahma, often called the Creator God, was the father of Sati (Avatar of Aadi Shakti). His two more daughters were married to Chandra Dev (Moon).

Daksha found that Chandra overly favored one daughter (Rohini) over the other, thus neglecting her needs and flouting his responsibilities. For this, Daksha cursed him to wither and die. 

Sati chanted the Maha Mrityunjay Mantra to save her sister's husband's life. Lord Shiva intervened and made his death periodic, symbolized by the waxing and waning of the moon.

He also placed Chandra on his head as an ornament... This was how the Somnath Mandir of Kutch, Gujarat came into picture .... Som is also another name for Moon & Somnath means Savior of Moon ... Later Shiva Married Chandra's SIL Sati, the Aadi Shakti...

 Daksha attempted to insult Shiva by performing a Yagna and omitting to invite Shiva. When SATI could not bear it any longer, she immolated herself in the sacrificial fire.

Later she took rebirth as Himalaya Putri (daughter of Mountain Himalaya) 'Parvati' & got married to Shiva...

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu :: Movie Review :: 0/5

After watching 'Tees Maar Khan' I promised myself, that I won't waste my hard earned money over such stupid movies.... But I did the blunder again & I watched 'Ek main aur Ekk tu'.
To say that the movie is stupid, would be an understatement. 
For the 2 hrs & 30 minutes you wonder what’s happening on screen.  There’s no direction, there’s no script.
Imran Khan disrespected the institution on Cinema, by his utter pathetic acting skills. He had the same expression(as if some one raped him) through out the movie. He disappoints you in every scene...
If this guy can become a Bollywood hero, then believe me, your pet can win an Oscar award.
Kareena has injected an overdose of drama to the character which she now plays nth time... the same Jab we Met's happy, bubly, bindaas girl Geet... This time it was boring & irritating, I suggest her to grow up with Age.
The lead pair share absolute Zero Chemistry. There was no romance in the romantic movie.. there was only pain, not on screen, but for viewers :(
Forgive me for the comparison with the classic 'What Happens in Vegas', from which this movie is inspired or copied... but it does not even come close to the original. 
I saw people sleeping during the show & some lucky guys walked out in between.

At least 'Tees Maar Khan' had 'Sheela Ki Jawani' & 'Ra-1' had 'Chammak challo'... This one is simply BULLSHIT.. 

Clearly Worst movie of 2012 ... Big Thumbs Down !!!

TARKARLI, Unexplored heaven of South Maharashtra

AGNEEPATH:: MOVIE REVIEW:: 3/5 :: The movie is very predictable which has too much of the 80s feel which sometimes makes u laugh, Heroism looks good but upto an extent, Movie Lacks logic, but has many more things to fill in, like Chikni Chameli, Yes the Item song by Kat is Awesome, & it looks much better on 70mm screen. Technical brilliancy and Hrithik’s passionate acting tries desperately to make the movie a decent watch but too much of 80's drama makes it unrealistic & pale. Has Hrithik been able to fill in the big boots of Amitabh Bachchan ? I will say YES it is indeed his best performances ever... Priyanka Sanju & Rishi Kapoor and complete casting was good, Music was good, but some songs were not required, Well directed but unfortunately Mr. Karan Malhotra just doesn’t seem to like too many twists. The movie is not bad, there are some amazing scenes like the scene where Hrithik’s sister comes to meet him the first time or when Hrithik kills Kancha’s men during Ganpati Visarjan, by saying the famous dialogue, “Vijay Chauhan! poora naam Vijay Dinanath Chauhan!, baap ka naam Dinanath Chauhan, gaon Mandwa” and the Kid who played younger Vijay acted very well. The director tries to show Heroism which works but sometimes it gets a bit too much. Should have adapted from the original, keeping today's generation in mind. Still you should watch it atleast once :)

- Even Ra.mu doesn’t want to waste time by watchin Ra.one!

Review :: The Dirty Picture :: 3.5/5 ***

 Nice concept somewhat similar to Fashion, thou more real & that's why end is not that happening, Vidya did a superb job, picture perfect act, no other actress cud have played this role better, Nashrudeen Shah as always entered into the skin of the character, tusshar was funny & entertaining , Imran was just the story-teller, forcefully added in the story, Awesome dialogues, some had double meanings other had triple or more ;) Well directed but little loose as the end, many times Vidya's cleavage over-shadowed the theme. Very Vulgar as it promises to be .. but mostly real, I dont know Silk, but Rakhi Sawant & Veena Malik can easily relate to this story, must watch but only wid friends & not family :)

Review::Adventures of Tintin (3D):: 4/5 ****

 Simple story, great animation, almost no 3D effects, appropriate humor, smooth flowing script, enjoyable ... one time (must) watch.... Characters like Captain Haddock & Tintin were awesome, Thomson and Thompson & the Sakharine were also good...but the pet dog named "Showvy" was out of the world, simply beautiful imagination...just loved it... Superlative set pieces; Impressive cinematography; Strikes a fine balance between Tintin's art style and realism; Great voice acting.
